Work with us.
We hire carefully and invest in everyone who joins us. If you want to do great clinical work in a genuinely supportive independent practice, we'd love to hear from you.
Life at Hawthorn
We are a small, close-knit team that takes the clinical work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. The atmosphere at Hawthorn is calm, collaborative, and genuinely kind — partly because we hire for character as much as skill, and partly because Sarah and James built the kind of practice they'd want to work in themselves.
We invest in CPD because we believe a curious, growing team delivers better medicine. Special clinical interests are actively encouraged — whether that's surgery, dermatology, feline medicine, or anything else. If you have a passion, we'll help you build on it.
We also understand that this is a demanding profession. We take wellbeing seriously, support flexible working arrangements where possible, and make sure everyone has a genuine voice in how we run the practice.
