Vaccinations

Keeping vaccinations up to date is one of the most effective things you can do to protect your pet's health. We offer puppy and kitten primary courses, annual booster reminders, kennel cough vaccination, and full rabbit vaccination programmes.

Microchipping

Microchipping is a legal requirement for dogs in the UK and strongly recommended for cats and rabbits. We use MyPet microchips by Trovan — a leading ISO-standard chip trusted by vets and rescue organisations across Europe. Registration to the Petlog database is included.

Neutering

Neutering is one of the most responsible choices you can make for your pet's long-term health. We provide full pre-operative health checks, tailored anaesthetic protocols, and dedicated post-operative nursing care. We follow the latest RCVS and BSAVA guidance on timing for different breeds and sizes.

Dental Care

Dental disease affects the majority of pets over three years old and is a leading cause of chronic pain that often goes unnoticed. Our dental service ranges from at-home care advice and nurse dental checks to full anaesthetic scale and polish, extractions, and digital dental X-ray.

General Surgery

Our fully equipped operating theatre allows us to perform a broad range of surgical procedures without the need for stressful external referral in most cases. Dr Sarah Whitaker leads soft tissue surgery, and Dr Tom Bryant handles complex orthopaedic cases.

Diagnostic Imaging

Fast, high-quality in-house imaging means your pet can often be diagnosed and treated in a single visit. Our digital radiography system produces instant, high-resolution images, and our portable ultrasound allows real-time soft tissue assessment without sedation in many cases.

In-House Laboratory

Our in-house IDEXX Catalyst laboratory means we can run a full biochemistry and haematology profile within 30 minutes. This is invaluable for anaesthetic screening, emergency triage, and monitoring chronic conditions like kidney disease or diabetes.

Nurse Clinics

Our registered veterinary nurses run a range of clinics that don't require a vet appointment. These are a cost-effective way to manage your pet's ongoing health and are available for all registered patients.

Home Visits

Sometimes the kindest thing is to reduce the stress of travel — particularly for elderly or anxious patients. We offer home visit consultations within a 10-mile radius of the practice, subject to availability. Please call to book in advance.

Pet Travel & AHCs

Travelling to the EU or Northern Ireland with your pet? You'll need an Animal Health Certificate (AHC), valid for 10 days from issue. Our vets are OV-authorised to issue AHCs. Please book at least one week before travel and ensure your pet's microchip and rabies vaccination are current.

  • Official Veterinarian (OV) authorised AHC
  • Microchip verification and re-chipping if required
  • Rabies vaccination and titre testing advice
  • Tapeworm treatment certificate for travel to Finland, Ireland, Malta or Norway
  • Advice on destination country requirements

We keep emergency appointments available every day we are open. If your pet needs urgent care during opening hours, please call us immediately on 01780 555 042 and we will see you as soon as possible. Outside our opening hours, please contact our out-of-hours partner Vets Now Peterborough.
